WHAT'S YOUR STORY? Your life experience is a story that only you can tell. Whether you want to write about your unique experiences growing up/traveling/working, etc., or you want to capture your entire life story for your grandchildren, this is the class for you. You don't have to be a polished writer to chronicle these stories for all time! Examples of successful memoirs are discussed as well as techniques for organizing your thoughts and putting them on paper. Cost is $60. Full payment by cash or check is required at least three days prior to the first class or registration will be cancelled. No refunds will be given for cancellations or no-shows. If you are a non-library cardholder, please register in-person in the administration office or by phone (847-432-0216 ext. 119).
Meet The Author - W. Bruce Cameron - "The Midnight Plan of the Repo Man"
Bestselling author Cameron is renowned for his popular dog-centric novels, most notably, the bestselling "A Dogs Purpose." He discusses his new book - a story about finding the truth, finding love where you least expect it, and finding yourself. Books will be for sale and the event will conclude with a book signing.
Spanish Literary Club
Attendees will take part in lively discussions on Spanish Literature, focusing on the works of notable authors. Conversations will be mostly in Spanish, but non-native speakers are welcome. This event will be held in the MediaScape Room. Currently discussing La tejedora de sombras by Jorge Volpi Escalante.

Drop by and meet with a member of the teen tech-savvy team for one-to-one guidance.
Join us any time during the session. There will be a chess expert there to help you whether you are a beginner or an advanced player.

Film showing & discussion - Women in Peril
Paula Anton (Ingrid Bergman) is a beautiful 19th century English singer studying in Italy. She is slowly being tormented by mysterious happenings in her luxurious Victorian home, which she inherited from her aunt, who was mysteriously murdered ten years earlier. Paulas apparently devoted husband, Gregory (Charles Boyer), tries to convince her that she is just imagining things. Directed by George Cukor, the film also stars Joseph Cotton and Angela Lansbury.
