For ages 3 to 6.
Drop off your independent preschoolers or kindergartners for a special storytime! Let them enjoy great stories, puppets, flannel boards, music, and activities that foster pre-reading skills, broaden social skills, and encourage a love of books.

Beginning Spanish

Monday, October 6, 2014 - 7:00pm to 8:30pm

The goal of this course is to enable you to acquire a basic mastery of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. The course will emphasize the practice of grammar and communication skills. Cost is $80. Full payment by cash or check is required at least three days prior to the first class or registration will be cancelled. No refunds will be given for cancellations or no-shows. For walking toddlers to 2 year olds with parent or caregiver.
Enjoy an interactive storytime with picture books, songs, fingerplays, puppets, and parachute play. Nurture your toddler's love of books and encourage him or her to learn numbers, colors, sounds, and new words. Each class will end with 1/2 hour of play and time to meet other parents, caregivers, and toddlers.

Ina Pinkney, known as the Breakfast Queen, was chef/owner of Ina's, one of Chicago's premier breakfast restaurants. Her book is a memoir with recipes or a cookbook with stories. Ina will discuss her book and serve samples of her coffeecake. Her monthly column, “Breakfast With Ina,” appears in the Dining Section of the "Chicago Tribune." Books will be for sale and the event will conclude with a book signing.

In this class, you will learn the new Charms menu, start screen, navigation by touch and with a mouse, personalization, saving to the OneDrive cloud, using Windows 8 apps and more.
