Spring Baby Booktime
Newborns to walkers with parent or caregiver.
Introduce your baby to the sounds and rhythms of language using stories, music, and rhymes. Delight and stimulate your baby's senses and build a foundation for a lifelong love of books and reading. Each class will end with 1/2 hour of play featuring age-appropriate toys and time for socialization.
Spanish Literary Club
Attendees will take part in lively discussions on Spanish Literature, focusing on the works of notable authors. Conversations will be mostly in Spanish, but non-native speakers are welcome. This event will be held in the MediaScape Room. Currently discussing "Cuentos de amor, de locura y de muerte, Anaconda, y Cuentos de la selva" by Horacio Quiroga.

Barry Bradford presents: The Richest Americans: Vanderbilt
A One Book, One Highland Park event. Come in for a 20 minute drop-in session and record a story that has been passed down in your family.
Book Nook-Friends of the Library
Friends of the Library Book Sale every Thursday and Saturday on the lower level of the library.
Join us any time during the session. There will be a chess expert there to help you whether you are a beginner or an advanced player.
Volunteer Pool of Highland Park Exhibit Panels
Volunteer Pool of Highland Park will display an exhibit of panels on the windows overlooking the seal pond in the Adult Services Room during National Volunteer Week April 12-18, 2015. The exhibit will showcase volunteers and their contributions at local activities and events.
Film showing and discussion with Bob Coscarelli - Jukebox Musicals
Clint Eastwood directs this adaptation of the Tony Award-winning musical about the rise and fall of The Four Seasons, the iconic rock group from the 1960s.
