What a beautiful fall day it is! All the leaves around the library are beginning to turn beautiful colors & we gerbils are loving it.

* Fall storytimes with Miss Deena are under way and you can still register!

* The library will open at 11am on Wednesday, October 3, due to a staff meeting.

* Outdoor Drop-In Chess continues this Saturday at 10:30. We hope it stays warm and sunny so that it can stay outdoors... but if not, we'll see you in the Meeting Room.

* Upcoming this month: the last of the School Open House days is on October 27, as well as our famous & popular Halloween Railroad event! We hope to see everyone in District 112 (others welcome, too!) for the popular drop-in event. (Trains run from 9:30am to 4pm!)

* Remember that if you would like to preorder a book for the Dan Gutman / Jon Scieszka author event, you need to do so with Lake Forest Book Store by October 15. If you are not preordering a book, you can begin to register for the event on October 16. Click here for more information about the event.
