Read Alouds for All Ages

Due to our catalog upgrade, the books on this list will not link to our catalog.  Please be patient while we update our lists.

Reading aloud to young children encourages language development and a love for literature. It strengthens children's listening and speaking skills and stimulates the imagination. As children mature, reading aloud serves to reassure, entertain, inform or explain, arouse curiosity and inspire. Reading aloud is a wonderful family activity! Parents--find old favorites and discover new ones to enjoy with your children.
