1929 Academy Awards

The silent film The Artist  received the highest honor at this year's Oscars ceremony held on Sunday, February 26th. This is only the second time a silent film has won the coveted award.  The film Wings won the top prize at the inaugural Oscars ceremony in 1929 and has just been released on DVD and Blu ray.
