Film Discussion with Dick Adler - Footnote

Join us for a lively discussion on Wednesday, November 28 at 7 p.m. in the Auditorium.

The multi award-winning Israeli film Footnote explores the relationship between father and son, who also happen to be rival Talmudic scholars.

In preparation for the discussion, Dick Adler suggests thinking about the following:

1. What is a footnote and how does the title apply to the movie?
2. At the end of the movie, the father has to make a choice. What does he decide?
3. What in the narrative structure of the movie gives us a clue as to the decision the father will make.
