October, 2012 - January, 2013

As with any remodeling project, schedules are subject to change due to a variety of unforeseen circumstances. Here’s what we know so far:

Workers will be at the Library from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday through Friday.  There may be noise and odors as a result of demolition and construction.  Workers (except for one or two construction vehicles) will park off-site.

Lower Level Entrance:

October-January, 2013: The entrance will be closed..

Adult Services Room:

Oct. 17: Computer Lab will close and 6 PCs will be relocated to the Alyce Brenner Periodicals Room. Reservation software and computer printing will be available. The scanner and fax will no longer be available.

Oct. 18: Reference Services will relocate to a temporary desk adjacent to the Readers' Advisors desk and to the north end of the Circulation desk. Computer Aid services will relocate to the Alyce Brenner Periodicals Room. Reference and Readers' Advisors work area will be relocated to the Administration offices.

Oct. 23-26: The Adult Services Room will be closed for periods of time during the week. Staff will retrieve materials from the Adult Services Room as permitted.

October-Mid-December 2012: The Adult Services Room will be open except for the Computer Lab.

Mid-December: All areas of the Adult Services Room will be closed for approximately 2 weeks for carpet installation. Staff may be able to retrieve titles, but some items may be temporarily inaccessible.

Late-December: All areas of the Adult Services Room will re-open. Relocated services and collections will return to their former or new locations.

January, 2013: New furniture will be installed. New signage will identify service desks and collections.  The remodel will be completed.
