Gus’s Top 10 Video Games for October 2014

  1. Hyrule Warriors (Wii U) Zelda and Dynasty Warriors mixed together? Yes! Not only did they nail it, it’s also a ton of fun to play! It stays true to the world of Zelda while combing the best parts of Dynasty Warriors.  With DLC content coming soon, I’ll be playing this one for a while.

  1. Destiny (Playstation 3 - 4/Xbox One - 360) From the makers of Halo comes a deep, action packed shooter that promises to suck you in. I’ve been waiting for this one for a while. Was it worth the wait? YES! Catch me on line sometime!

  1. Super Smash Bros. 3DS (3DS) I think a lot of 3DS owners have been waiting for this for a long time. This is an instant classic and will satisfy SSB fans of all ages!

  1. The Evil Within (Playstation 4 /Xbox One) Developed by Shinji Mikami -- creator of the Resident Evil series comes his new creation. A new survival horror game that is sure to make you sleep with the lights on. Not for the faint hearted!

  1. Minecraft (Xbox 360 / Playstation 3-4) After a long wait, Minecraft finally has come out for the Playstation 3 and 4.

  1. The Last of Us: Remastered (Playstation 4) Joel and Ellie, brought together by harsh circumstance, must survive a brutal journey across the US in a dangerous post-pandemic world. Truly a masterpiece. This is a must have game for anyone who appreciates the art of video games.

  1. Watchdogs (Playstation 4/Xbox One)  Ubisofts new open world action game is fantastic. Set within a fictionalized version of Chicago, Illinois, the single-player story follows a hacker and his efforts to seek revenge after the accidental death of his niece. The open world design lets players freely roam Chicago, which includes the urban city, open countryside, and slums.

  1. NBA 2K15 (Playstation 4/Xbox One) The NBA2K series rarely disappoints. This year’s version is no different. Check it out! Nominated for 70 'Game of the Year' Awards, the NBA 2K franchise returns with NBA 2K15, our most true-to-life NBA experience yet. Featuring NBA MVP Kevin Durant on the cover and an eclectic soundtrack curated by internationally-renowned artist and producer Pharrell Williams, NBA 2K15 hits the court with unprecedented life-like graphics, ultra-realistic NBA gameplay, and more.
