Voting and Voter Registration Information
Do you need to register to vote? Need to verify that you're registered, or want to find out where you go to cast your ballot? We have the information! Once you're sure you're registered, check out the League of Women Voters' Voting Guide for the General Election.
Registering Requirements:
If you're 18 years of age, a US citizen, and have resided at your Lake County precinct address for 30 days prior to the election, you can register! You'll need two forms of ID, and one must show your current address.
Where to Register:
- At the Lake County Clerk's office in Waukegan, at 18 North County Street, Room 101. Phone them at 847-377-2410 for more information.
- At local township and municiple offices; a full list is here! The places right here in town (and one in Deerfield) are:

The League of Women Voters will be in the Library's lobby the following days:
Saturday & Sunday, October 6 & 7, from 1-4pm
Monday & Tuesday, October 8 & 9, from 7pm-8:30pm

Use Lake County's Voter Power site to see if you're registered.
Locate Your Voting Site:
After you determine that you're registered, use your precinct number (also found on your voter registration card) at the "Where Do I Vote?" page to find your voting location.
