Will Linder discusses his book "A Scientific Revolution: Ten Men and Women Who Reinvented American Medicine."

The transformation of medicine from a sawbones trade into a scientific profession at the end of the 19th century occurred with breathtaking speed and was nothing short of a miracle. Will Linder's book tells this dramatic story through the lives of people who committed body and soul to advancing research, patient care, and medical education while often battling racism, sexism, and or their personal demons.

Books will be for sale and the event will conclude with a book signing.
