The Friends of the Highland Park Public Library

The Friends of the Highland Park Public Library is a volunteer organization dedicated to enhancing the Library — our community’s valued forum for enrichment, engagement, and lifelong learning. 

Your generous donations support and enhance the Library’s robust literary and cultural programming and services for adults and children.

We SUPPORT 

book discussions, lectures, cultural programs, film screenings, arts and crafts workshops, and more!

We ENRICH

our collection of the Library of Things, audio and video equipment, and take-home crafts for kids.

We RESPOND 

to our community’s needs in times of trauma with the A Book For You program... providing free books for the community with a focus on healing in English and Spanish.

The Library is one of Highland Park’s greatest treasures. With your financial support we can continue to enhance the Library for you, your family, your neighbors, and our community.

Accepted donations:

gently used books, DVDs, records, and CDs. 

Not accepted:

law books, medical books, video cassettes, audiobooks, magazines, and encyclopedias.  

Donations can be placed in the orange drop box located in the Library parking lot.
