Bob Coscarelli, professor emeritus at College of Lake County, introduces the film and leads the discussion after the showing.

Starting high school, socially awkward teen Charlie is helped out of his shell by two older students and an encouraging teacher, while coping with ongoing mental problems.  Stephen Chbosky wrote and directed this 2012 film based on his own disputed 1999 novel.  Sponsored by the Friends of the Highland Park Public Library.
