Lower-Level Meeting Room/Auditorium

Acclaimed writers Peter and Eric Orner discuss their new books.

Peter Orner - Still No Word From You

Peter Orner, award-winning author and finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award for Criticism, discusses his new book, a series of essays and intimate stories that meld the lived life and the reading life. Still No Word From You is a collection of insightful and intimate observations about books, stories, poems, and life.

A most anticipated book of the year. – Literary Hub

Still No Word From You received starred reviews from Publishers Weekly and Kirkus Reviews.

Eric Orner - SMAHTGUY: The Life and Times of Barney Frank

The acclaimed author of The Mostly Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Green, one of the country’s first and longest-running gay comic strips, discusses his debut graphic novel. In the funny and beautifully rendered book, Orner depicts the iconic and iconoclastic life of congressman Barney Frank, confirming him as a hero for our age.

"Smahtguy isn't just a great story, it's an enveloping visual experience crafted by a terrific artist with an amazing line. Even if you were to page through this book without looking at any of the words, it would still be a great read.” – NPR

Books will be for sale and the event will conclude with a book signing.
