Art historian Maggie Taft is co-editor of the book Art in Chicago:  A History From The Fire To Now. The book is the first single-volume history of art in Chicago from the 19th century through the present day. It explores the long history of art in the city, covering artists from Manierre Dawson, László Moholy-Nagy, and Ivan Albright to Chris Ware, Anne Wilson, and Theaster Gates.  In this event, Taft will discuss flash points in Chicago's art history and key themes that make Chicago's art world unique.
