Eviction Help Desk

For Lake County residents currently in court facing eviction due to non-payment of rent, please contact the Eviction Help Desk to learn about the Illinois Court-Based Rental Assistance Program (CBRAP) and the Lake County Eviction Prevention Program (LCEPP).

Moraine Township

Moraine Township offers rent, utility and other assistance to income-qualified Township residents whose income was reduced due to COVID-19. To find out if you qualify, please call 847-432-3240.

Food is available to income-qualified residents Tuesdays from 10:00 am until 12:30 p.m. If you need food but are unable to visit the Pantry, please call 847-432-3240.

ComEd Residential Special Hardship Assistance

ComEd customers who are past-due and have a financial hardship due to job loss, illness, military deployment, disability, or as a senior citizen may be eligible for ComEd’s Residential Special Hardship program, which provides a grant of up to $500 to help pay past-due energy bills. North Suburban Legal Aid Clinic

If you're a low income resident of Lake County, you might qualify for free housing & immigration legal aid services from North Suburban Legal Aid Clinic. Prairie State Legal Services 

Prairie State Legal Services offers free legal services for low-income persons and those age 60 and over who have serious civil legal problems and need legal help to solve them.
