The Junior Page Volunteer Program is a job training program. Applicants accepted into the program will assist in various tasks at the Highland Park Public Library in supporting its mission.
The Application Process
Individuals interested in volunteering as a Junior Page will need to fill out a volunteer application and submit a parental consent form.
After the application has been submitted you will receive a response from the volunteer coordinator within 48 – 72 hours of applying. You will then need to:
Applicants that DO NOT attend an orientation will not be accepted
Who is Eligible?
The Junior Page Volunteer Program is open to entering 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th graders. There will be three three week sessions. Enrollment will be based on a first come, first serve basis for candidates that have completed an online volunteer profile, submitted a parental consent form and have scored above 80% on the assessment test.

Session III (August) 15 Spots Available
Junior Pages are to work at least one 90 minute shift per week and no more than one 90 minute shift per day.
When to Apply
Interested parties can apply starting May 1st. Please apply online through the Junior Page Application link on the Highland Park Public Library website.
We do not accept “drop-in” Volunteers.
What will I be asked to do?
Junior Pages will assist in various tasks at the Highland Park Public Library to support its mission. These tasks may include, but are not limited to:
A digital copy of the Page Pool Manual will be provided to you

As a Junior Page you will be representing the library. We ask that you:
Enriching our community by circulating ideas, information, and technology.
We will be recognized by our patrons and peers as a trendsetter in expanding learning and discovery.
