Join us at the library for a celebration of art and creativity as we kick off Art in Bloom, a month-long D112 Student Art Exhibit.

Artwork by D112 K-8th Graders will be on display in the windows of various downtown businesses from April 6-May 3. 

The kickoff event at the Highland Park Public Library will feature a variety of art-related fun:

  • How to Draw Book Characters
  • DIY 3D Flower craft
  • Mosaic Sticker Art
  • Decorate and add a petal to our giant flower display
  • Library art scavenger hunt
  • Indoor Storywalk
  • Sidewalk Chalk Drawing (weather permitting)
  • Two “Dinosaur Vs. Robots” drawing workshops by cartoonist Mark Anderson at 1:15 and 2:15 p.m.
         Drawing workshops are limited seating/ticketed events. Tickets are available in person only at the Youth Services Desk beginning at 12:45pm
