Join the Shakespeare Project of Chicago for this fun afternoon.
Four actors from the Shakespeare Project will be featured. We will “spin the wheel” and a random number generator picks out a number from 1-154 which are the numbers of Shakespeare’s sonnets.
Once the number is selected, an actor has one minute to study the sonnet (which is now on the screen) and then perform it. After he/she presents the sonnet, the actor will speak about how they were able to make sense of the sonnet in such a short amount of time.
Learn techniques for reading the sonnets and using the actor’s craft. A fun way to get a deeper insight into the actor’s craft and learn some techniques that will help in approaching reading and understanding of Shakespeare.
