The North Suburban Legal Aid Clinic, Highland Park Public Library, and Highwood Library and Community Center invite you to Share Your Story.

June is dedicated to sharing the stories of the immigrants that make America what it is today and supporting diversity in our nation. Every family has an immigration story or knows someone who is an immigrant. We sure do! The North Suburban Legal Aid Clinic, Highland Park Public Library, and Highwood Library and Community Center invite you to Share Your Story. 

What brought you or your family to the United States? Who was the first person in your family to immigrate to the Unites States? What country did you come from? Whether you are a recent immigrant, or your family has been in America for generations, you and/or your family will have an opportunity to share your immigrant story. 
Please bring photos and recipes to share too! 

Stories Around Food 
What is your family’s most beloved recipe? Who was the first to make it? What are its roots? Write down a family recipe and bring it to us for our Stories Around Food wall. Some recipes will be chosen to be highlighted on the Library and NSLAC website and social media. 

Photos and Stories 
Bring a copy of a photo (only copies will be accepted as they will not be returned) and a brief description of your story (200 words or less). Please include your name, email, phone number and address. Your story, name, and photo could be highlighted on the NSLAC website and social media.

June está dedicado a compartir las historias de los inmigrantes que hacen de Estados Unidos lo que es hoy y a apoyar la diversidad en nuestra nación. Cada familia tiene una historia de inmigración o conoce a alguien que es inmigrante. ¡De eso estamos seguros! 
  
La Biblioteca Pública de Highland Park, North Suburban Legal Aid Clinic y La Biblioteca y Centro Comunitario de Highwood lo invitan al evento Comparte Tu Historia. 

¿Qué lo trajo a usted o a su familia a los Estados Unidos? ¿Quién fue la primera persona de su familia en inmigrar a los Estados Unidos? ¿De qué país vienes? Ya sea que sea un inmigrante reciente o que su familia haya estado en los Estados Unidos durante generaciones, usted y/o su familia tendrán la oportunidad de compartir su historia de inmigrantes. 
  
¡Por favor traiga fotos y recetas para compartir también! 
Historias Alrededor De La Comida 
¿Cuál es la receta más querida de tu familia? ¿Quién fue el primero en hacerla? ¿Cuáles son sus raíces? Escriba una receta familiar y tráiganosla para nuestro muro Historias Alrededor De La Comida. Se elegirán algunas recetas para que se destaquen en el sitio web y las redes sociales de la Biblioteca y NSLAC. 
  
Fotos e Historias 
Traiga una copia de una foto (solo se aceptarán copias, ya que no se devolverán) y una breve descripción de su historia (200 palabras o menos). Incluya su nombre, correo electrónico, número de teléfono y dirección. Su historia, nombre y foto podrían destacarse en el sitio web y las redes sociales de NSLAC.
