The Highland Park Public Library has been a trusted part of the community’s social fabric for more than 125 years, providing diverse opportunities for lifelong learning, literary and cultural enrichment, and an introduction to, and guidance with, technology. We open doors to information and imagination, encourage social inclusion and equity, foster civic engagement, create a bridge to local resources, and even strengthen economic vitality within the community. Gifts to the Highland Park Public Library are tax-deductible (EIN # 36-6005925).

The Friends of the Highland Park Public Library is a volunteer organization dedicated to enhancing the Library. With contributions from community members, the Friends of the Library fund programs, services, items, and new technology above and beyond the Library’s budget. Your annual membership helps to enhance the Library for you, your family, your neighbors, and our community.
Each year, the Library hosts more than 1,700 literacy development, cultural enrichment, and lifelong learning public programs for all ages. Program sponsors enjoy benefits such as acknowledgement on promotional materials, speaking opportunities, and verbal recognition at the beginning of the respective program. Sponsorship opportunities can be custom designed.
