A city famous for its architecture now has a definitive, illustrated guide to the housing types and styles that have shaped Chicago from its earliest days through the Second World War. Ever wondered what makes a “greystone” a greystone, or why we have wooden back porches? Carla Bruni, author of Chicago Homes: A Portrait of the City's Everyday Architecture and SAIC professor, will discuss what makes a home a Chicago home.
Books will be for sale and the event will conclude with a book signing.
